FORMATS
  CSV (UTF-8, comma separated, quoted fields) and XLSX. Same columns, same
  order, in both.

FILE NAME
  HOURS_<job>_<first day>_<last day>.xlsx
  Example: HOURS_Riverbend-Bldg-2_2026-08-10_2026-08-14.xlsx

COLUMNS, IN ORDER

  A  PERSON        Text. Who the hours belong to. Never blank.
  B  DATE          Date, MM/DD/YY. The workday, not the day it was reported.
                   Never blank.
  C  JOB           Text. Where the work was. Never blank.
  D  HOURS         Decimal, one place. The number as he gave it. Never blank,
                   never rounded up, never created by the software.
  E  COST CODE     Text. Present where the office set one on the job. BLANK
                   where the office did not set one, or where the work
                   described does not land on one. Never guessed.
  F  SOURCE        Text. The sentence the row came from, word for word, cut
                   from the stored message. Not a summary, not cleaned up.
                   Never blank.
  G  SUBMITTED BY  Text. Who sent it, and the minute it arrived. Never blank.

FOOTER FIELDS, BELOW THE ROWS

  AS OF         The minute the file was made. Always present.
  BLANK         One line per man and day with nothing reported. Absent when
                nothing is missing.
  CORRECTED     One line per corrected row, naming the row that corrects it.
                Both rows stay in the file. Absent when nothing was corrected.
  APPROVED      Either a name and a minute, or the words
                "Not approved - sent as reported". Always present.

RULES THAT DO NOT CHANGE

  1. The columns can be renamed and reordered once, by whoever keys them,
     to match an import map that already exists. After that they do not move.
  2. A blank cell means nobody said it. It never means zero and it never
     means a default.
  3. A correction after a file was sent does not rewrite that file. A new
     file is made with a new AS OF stamp. The old file stays as it was.
  4. A file pulled mid-week says so on its face and says the week is not
     closed.
  5. There is no column about a man's productivity, utilization, rank, score
     or location, and there is no plan to add one.

The example above uses an invented crew, an invented job and an invented cost
code. It is not anybody's real payroll.
